March 2004 - The naming ceremony for the ninth LNG carrier in the NWS Fleet (Hull 2214) was held at the Okpo shipyard of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in Southern Korea on Wednesday 17th March 2004. The vessel, named the Northwest Swan by Mrs. Jane Ann Gass (wife of Mr. John Gass, President Chevron Global Gas), was delivered to the North West Shelf Owners on 31st March 2004.

August 2003 - The North West Shelf Venture delivered its 1500th LNG Cargo to its Japanese customers onboard the Northwest Sandpiper.
