At North West Shelf Shipping our primary focus is to consistently provide quality operational, commercial, marine and technical assurance and administrative services with respect to the LNG shipping activities of the North West Shelf Venture.

Our vision is to be recognised by all stakeholders for delivering safe, reliable and efficient fleet performance and shipping services which enhance the North West Shelf Venture reputation.

The service provided by North West Shelf Shipping is an integral part of the North West Shelf Venture and all North West Shelf Shipping secondees and contractors are expected to demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to quality and excellence in all activities. The North West Shelf Shipping Quality System serves to communicate these expectations, establish controls and foster a culture of commitment to excellence in everything we do.

To achieve our objectives we will:

  • Ensure that the Client/Customer is the focus of all our activities, actively soliciting and listening to our customers' concerns. Through teamwork, participation of all secondees and contractors and feedback/input from existing and potential customers we will provide shipping solutions and a superior service which consistently meets or exceeds both our customers' expectations and applicable statutory/regulatory requirements.
  • Treat North West Shelf Shipping's suppliers and Allocated Operators as business partners to improve overall operating and financial performance and ensure alignment of quality objectives including protecting and enhancing the NWS Venture reputation through proven performance.
  • Ensure that North West Shelf Shipping secondees and contractors are familiar with our Policies and Procedures and are working in accordance with the quality management system.
  • Maintain a high standard of professional competence by ensuring ongoing training and skill development of our secondees and contractors.
  • Provide a working environment which promotes teamwork, innovation and continuous improvement by encouraging the active participation, endeavour and ideas of all Secondees and Contractors.
  • Ensure safe and efficient use of all our resources, and maintain effective loss control by applying a systematic approach to the management of business risks for current operations and future growth opportunities.
  • Establish and regularly monitor key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement in the services we receive and provide.

The General Manager is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the quality system and acts with full authority on all matters related to quality.
